Taylor Park in 1955
Just found some photo negatives, and thanks to my wonderful volunteer Todd Goggins, got these negatives scanned in to look at the images. These photos are dated July 24, 1955.
I remember this. My sister and I walked from 7th street all the way to Taylor Park every day to swim. My older sister Dotty was the life guard for the little pool which was for the smaller kids not allowed in the big kids pool. They had games to play in the park area which we watched for a few minutes, then went on our way all the way back home.
