For the Love of Horses!

Two pictures, that this farmer must have become attached to.   He doesn't name the people, but he recorded the death dates of his faithful horses on each picture.

 Both pictures taken in May 1900;   Tom died Sept 17, 1905 and Fred died Dec 31, 1905.

FDL Senior High Band

Found some pictures of the Fond du Lac Senior High Band, in the KFIZ archives.  No dates, but the Fond du Lac Senior High name existed thru 1955.  In 1956 it is Goodrich Senior High School.

Kewaskum interesting pictures

Someone donated some postcards from the 1900's and included in this collection are pictures of a railroad wreck, as well as a bridge washout, taken at the turn of the century.  Not sure if the washout was the cause of both the concrete and the railroad bridge problems, or if these occured on separate occasions.  If anyone has knowledge about these photos, I'd like to add that information.
It's amazing to look at the last picture and see the tracks just hanging in the air.

Taylor - corner Mary's and ...; flat addition just like original Rueping house.

Corner Seventh & Ellis - exact copy of (Sweet) French windows. Upright & Ell - Greek Revival; Sweet - Arndt at the tracks.

Original Rueping home - moved from factory site to corner Doty & Rees - occupied by Col. DeGroat, assoc. of Giddings, for a time - later he moved to 60 Sheboygan.  Ruepings in brick houses near - Chas 16 Doty; Fred 18 Doty; Wm 24 Doty; Louis s s Rees 3 W of Bannister(N Macy); Georgian addition to upright.

B F Moore - Corner Division & Marr/Marquette (Marquette crossed off) - Given to Mr & Mrs Henry Moore as a wedding present - (Louise, dau of C J L Meyer)

Post - gone. Built for Jennie Galloway (Mrs. C H Moore) who moved to Spokane Falls after a few months. Was next to Dugan Funeral Home on Forest Ave., #90.

Residential entrance for the Korrer family, who owned a Hotel and Bar at the corner of Brooke & W. Division St. Their daughter studied music in Europe for a year, and when she came home, the family invited their friends for a recital.  Mr. Korrer had Eastlake stairs installed in the home for the recital, and his daughter  made her entrance coming down the stairs singing to her guests.
